Sensotec’s Model FP2000 series of pressure transducers represents
a long succession of engine testing applications. Starting in the
1970’s,with the very demanding requirements of jet engine
testing, Honeywell Sensotec has decades of test and measurement
experience into automotive power train testing.
The Model FP2000 pressure sensors are used to measure engine oil pressures,
fuel pressures, manifold pressures and coolant pressure. Our FP2000’s
are used as electronic barometers and also for leak tests in a cold crank conditions.
Wherever an engine pressure measurement needs to be made, the FP2000
is a logical choice; here is why:
• The FP2000 is all welded construction with no gaskets
and no seals to be destroyed by the various engine fluids.
• The FP 2000 has a compact size which makes it easy to install
in the confines of a panel box or test stand.
• High level electrical outputs reduce RFI and EMI noise issues
in the demanding engine test environment.
• Internal shunt cal is available and can be used for the
“health check” of the entire circuit. This is particularly
important to ensure the quality of the measurement taken.
• The FP2000 series pressure transducer meets the accuracy
requirement of 0.1% of full scale reading for linearity, hysteresis,
and non-repeatability.
• It maintains long term stability over the course of the
test. In fact, the isolated diaphragm design reduces the chance
for zero shift or zero offset, increasing the possibility that time
between recalibrations can be increased.
• The individual glass-to-metal seals for each of the connector
pins on the environmental connector provides excellent protection
against fluids migrating through the connector and into the transducer.
